About NurseryGuide
Welcome to NurseryGuide. This site is produced by the Oregon Association of Nurseries and is based on its Directory & Buyers Guide publication. You will find a few listings online that did not make the print deadline for the book.
In addition to the plant listings, you also will find hundreds of nursery-related product and service listings, as well as valuable information about the Oregon Association of Nurseries and the Oregon's nursery and greenhouse industry in general.
NurseryGuide is free to use, with no registration or password required. This site is intended for the wholesale trade, however, and growers and companies listed may enforce minimum orders. If you are looking for retail nurseries click here to order our free Guide to Oregon Retail Nurseries. For help on using our search and browse features, see our Online Help page.
About the Oregon Association of Nurseries
The Oregon Association of Nurseries, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer membership organization that represents more than 1,500 nursery stock producers, retailers, landscapers and allied companies in the nursery and greenhouse industry. The OAN is the main voice in Oregon for the producers, re-sellers, transporters, retailers and suppliers of the ornamental horticulture industry. Our mission is to serve, lead and represent our members and unite and promote Oregon's quality green goods, services and related industries.
For more information about the OAN and Oregon's nursery industry, please visit our companion web site, OAN Online, www.oan.org.
The OAN also produces one of North America's top nursery-related trade shows, the Farwest Show, along with the Farwest Show Seminars, which typically are held annually in late August in Portland, Oregon. Jump to our Farwest Show web site at www.farwestshow.com for more information and to register online.
About the Directory & Buyers Guide
This annual 550-page publication is distributed nationally. The directory portion of the Directory & Buyers Guide includes a comprehensive directory of Oregon's horticulture industry and complete list of OAN members and how to contact them.
The buyers portion lists plants, services or supplies offered by hundreds of companies. The 2005-06 DBG contains 35,072 plant, service or supply listings from various vendors in 6,155 different categories. There are 5,684 separate plant varieties, 676 companies and 478 growers listed. The DBG is indexed by both common and botanical name for easy reference. Plant listings contain production information for liners, bareroot, seedlings, balled & burlapped, bulbs, container and cuttings.
The Services & Supplies listings indicate whether the service/supply is targeted to the landscape, retail or wholesale sectors. Approximately 10,000 copies of the DBG were printed this year; the new edition is introduced at the Farwest Show in late August. These books are distributed free to OAN members and others in the industry via mailings or through distribution at industry trade shows.
